Bangkok: Local authorities have set up checkpoints before entering Nam Yuen District. The Royal Thai Air Force deployed F-16 fighter jets to patrol Cambodian military areas opposite Chong An Ma pass in Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province. Meanwhile, local authorities have set up checkpoints to screen those entering Nam Yuen district to ensure public safety.
According to Thai News Agency, reports indicate that on the morning of the third day of clashes between Thai and Cambodian forces in the An Ma Pass area of Nam Yuen district, two F-16 fighter jets entered the area and bombed to destroy Cambodian military positions. The Cambodian side retaliated with artillery fire for approximately 20 minutes before the situation calmed down. Initially, no injuries were reported. Later, artillery fire was heard again in the An Ma Pass area, but it is currently unknown which side it originated from.
Meanwhile, the Nam Yuen District Office’s Facebook page posted a message announcing a ban on entering the area due to the unsafe situation. The district has also set up checkpoints to screen those entering Nam Yuen to ensure the safety of the public. Throughout the night, several drones were sighted, requiring officials to operate with caution.
