Bangkok: “Saeng” posts farewell message to “Ittiporn” as he steps down as Chairman of the Election Commission. Secretary-General Saeng expressed his sentiments through a heartfelt message, describing his time working with Ittiporn as an honor and a cherished memory.
According to Thai News Agency, the farewell message was prompted by the recent announcement in the Royal Gazette appointing Mr. Narong Klanwarin as the new chairman of the Election Commission. Mr. Klanwarin replaces Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong, who stepped down from his position as chairman following the expiration of his term, which was due to end in August 2025.
In a show of respect and camaraderie, Mr. Saeng Boonmee, the Secretary-General of the Election Commission, shared photos of himself presenting a garland to Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong and Mr. Santat Siri-ananpaiboon, another commissioner whose term had also concluded. The images captured the moment as Saeng escorted them to their cars at the Government Complex in Chaeng Wattana, the location of the Election Commission’s office. Saeng’s post was accompanied by the words: “I felt honored throughout the past, and from now on, it will be a collection of memories.”
