Bangkok: In the morning session, five additional MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party reported to Parliament, bringing the total number of registered MPs to 124. The registration process was opened for the seventh consecutive day.
According to Thai News Agency, on the seventh day of registration for the 27th House of Representatives, the following five MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party registered: Mr. Akradech Wongpithakroj from Ratchaburi Constituency 4, Mr. Warayut Jongaksorn from Yasothon Constituency 2, Mr. Wichai Sudsawat from Chumphon Constituency 1, Mr. Kittisak Promrat from Chumphon Constituency 2, and Mr. Traithep Ngamkamol from Buriram Constituency 8.
This registration update brings the total number of registered MPs to 124 out of 396. The breakdown of registered MPs is as follows: Bhumjaithai Party has 59, Prachachon Party has 1, Pheu Thai Party has 52, Kla Tham Party has 2, Democrat Party has 1, Prachachart Party has 4, Palang Pracharath Party has 4, and Opportunity Party has 1. Notably, the Thai Ruam Palang Party and the Thai Sang Thai Party have not yet registered any constituency MPs.
Reports suggest that the Election Commission (EC) may announce the certification of proportional representation MPs this afternoon. If confirmed, Pheu Thai Party's proportional representation MPs will collect their certificates at the EC office. Subsequently, the party's three prime ministerial candidates-Yotsanan Wongsawat, Suriya Jungrungruangkit, and Julapan Amornvivat-will lead all proportional representation MPs to report to Parliament.
