GHB Reduces Interest Rates to 0.01% for Crane Collapse Victims in Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon ratchasima: The Government Housing Bank (GHB) is taking swift action to support its customers affected by the recent crane collapse onto a train in Sikhiu District. The bank has announced a significant reduction in interest rates to just 0.01% per year for one year, specifically targeting those impacted by this tragic event.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Mahatthana Ampornphisit, Managing Director of GHB, stated that the bank is implementing urgent measures to alleviate the financial burdens of the affected customers. For those who have suffered serious injuries, the interest rate will be reduced to 0.01% per year for a duration of one year, after which it will revert to the original rate for which the customer was eligible prior to this assistance program.

In cases where customers have died or become permanently disabled, GHB will extend the 0.01% interest rate for the entire term of the loan. This measure aims to ease the long-term financial strain on bereaved families, ensuring that they are not overburdened by debt during such a difficult time.
