Phang Nga: Hat Tai Muang, Phang Nga, receives international beach standards and an excellent “Green Park” award. The government supports Phang Nga to become a sustainable tourism destination in Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anukul Prueksanusak, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that Hat Thai Mueang, Hat Pang, and Hat Phlap Phlueng are located within the Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park, Thai Mueang District, Phang Nga Province, with a coastline length of over 13.6 kilometers. It has been certified for international beach management standards according to ISO 13009:2015, which covers important elements such as promotion and public relations of tourism information, safety measures, environmental management and impacts of tourism, as well as readiness of infrastructure for sustainable development.
In addition, Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park has also received the ‘Green Park’ award at an excellent level, which has made the people of Phang Nga Province proud. This beach is outstanding with a row of pine trees along the coastline, along with a peaceful atmosphere, suitable for relaxation and nature conservation activities. It is also a beach where leatherback sea turtles regularly return to lay their eggs.
‘Southern tourist attractions have beautiful beaches and seas. Many of them have been preserved and certified to international beach standards. They are also being promoted as tourist destinations. Hat Thai Mueang is one of the important destinations that tourists should not miss.
