Bangkok: The Iranian ambassador to Thailand has condemned the US and Israeli attacks as cowardly acts of terrorism, declaring that those responsible must be held accountable. This afternoon, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand held his first press conference at Government House concerning the situation in Iran. Ambassador Nassereddin Haidari, addressing significant media attention from both Thai and international outlets, asserted that the targeting of Iran's top officials by the United States and Israel constitutes an act of terrorism, violating international law and the principles of sovereign equality and global stability.

According to Thai News Agency, Ambassador Haidari emphasized that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the highest-ranking official in Iran's Supreme Leadership and a revered religious figure, was targeted in these attacks. The ambassador warned of severe consequences for such terrorist acts and insisted that all responsibility lies with the perpetrators. He also criticized the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the US as a "sham," suggesting that the United States had predetermined its intention to attack Iran.

The ambassador addressed concerns regarding the safety of Thai nationals in Iran, confirming that no Thais were injured in the attacks. He stated that the immediate priority is the safe evacuation of the 250 Thais in Iran, with some already traveling from Tehran to Turkey via chartered flights. Concurrently, efforts are underway to repatriate 160 Iranian citizens stranded in Thailand, as direct flights to Tehran are currently unavailable.

Ambassador Haidari also commented on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the need for "geopolitical capabilities" to counter threats. He assured that Iran has no intention of harming any commercial ships, though he acknowledged the area's heightened risk of conflict and the strategic sensitivity of shipping lanes.
