Bangkok: James Ruangsak, a soon-to-be father of two, is taking proactive measures to regulate his daughter's mobile phone usage, amid concerns regarding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Recently, James and his wife, Kru Kooi Natcha, celebrated their eldest daughter, Meda's, 7th birthday in an intimate setting.
According to Thai News Agency, James has expressed increasing concern over children's smartphone use, particularly the impact of consuming short videos and AI-generated content on brain chemistry, which he believes could contribute to ADHD. To mitigate this, he limits Meda's phone usage to 15-20 minutes a day and requires her to complete tasks such as reading or solving math problems in exchange for screen time.
James emphasizes the importance of supervising their daughter's phone usage, ensuring content is appropriate while explaining both the advantages and disadvantages of technology. He highlights the necessity of setting realistic rules rather than outright forbidding mobile phone use, which could lead to questions about parental usage.
In a related update, James shared that Kru Kooi is expecting their second child in mid-May. Despite some of the challenges associated with late-stage pregnancy, such as difficulty walking, Kru Kooi remains in good health. Her live streaming activities have been reduced to accommodate her condition, with James taking on additional management duties.
Addressing speculation about his wife's possessiveness, James clarified that Kru Kooi is supportive of his engagement with fans at concerts. She encourages him to interact with the audience, understanding the importance of artist-fan relationships. Her primary concerns are for his well-being during travel. - Nine Entertainment
