Bangkok: Jinny Yotsuda, a candidate for Prime Minister under the Thai Building Thailand initiative, visited the Asoke district to promote the Thai Building Thailand program, which aims to alleviate the stresses faced by Thai citizens. Office workers in the area expressed support for the program's policies, including a 3,000 baht pension and the suspension of unnecessary legislation.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Yotsuda Leelapanyalerd, known as Jinny, was accompanied by Mr. Suradej Taweesangsakulthai, the prime minister candidate of the Thai Sang Thai Party, and Mr. Pariyat Angkurakit, the party's spokesperson. During their visit to Asoke and Ruam Sap Market, they engaged with office workers and sought votes by organizing an activity where citizens could express their preferences for policies via a bulletin board. This activity garnered enthusiastic interest and positive feedback from the public.
The Thai Sang Thai Party advocates for a monthly pension of 3,000 baht to provide income security for the elderly, allowing them to support themselves without burdening their children. This policy also aims to boost the grassroots economy and reduce social inequality sustainably in Thailand.
Moreover, the party proposes suspending laws that impede livelihoods, thus removing business restrictions and providing small business owners with more freedom. The "Building Thailand Fund" has been established to offer loans between 10,000 to 100,000 baht to citizens for starting or expanding businesses, reducing reliance on informal lending.
Additionally, the party emphasized reforming the power structure by amending the law to enable citizens to gather 50,000 signatures to directly impeach independent organizations. This proposal aims to establish a mechanism for checks and balances, ensuring accountability to the people and fostering greater transparency within a robust democratic system.
Field visits indicated strong community support in Asoke, especially for the 3,000 baht public pension policy, which promises long-term financial security, and the suspension of unnecessary laws, which addresses the demands of working individuals seeking convenience and efficiency in their careers.
