Bangkok: "Attakorn" has declared that Kla Tham will not hold back, fielding a team of key figures to debate the government's policies. Meanwhile, "Wuttichat" revealed that 70 senators have signed up, and they plan to discuss with the Senate whip tomorrow to organize the speakers and issues to avoid duplication.
According to Thai News Agency, Senator Wuttichat Kalyanamit, in his capacity as secretary of the Senate's ad hoc committee on Senate affairs, revealed after the meeting that the Senate has been allocated the same four hours as before, despite requests for additional time due to 70 senators signing up to speak. He plans to hold a meeting of the Senate whips tomorrow to determine the topics and the number of speakers, in order to reduce redundancy in discussion points and maximize speaking time for a more substantive approach. He believes the meeting will proceed smoothly if all parties adhere to the rules and regulations, and that there should be no major problems. He also believes the Speaker of Parliament can effectively manage the meeting.
Attakorn Sirilathiyakorn, MP for Chachoengsao from the Kla Tham Party, confirmed that the party's debate on government policies will be no holding back. They have prepared points to question the policies of the ruling parties, both Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai, that they campaigned on. They will assess how realistic the policies formulated and presented to Parliament by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet are in practice.
Following this, there will be further internal discussions within the Kla Tham Party regarding the allocation of speakers. The Kla Tham Party has been allocated 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours for the debate, and has planned to address issues including the energy crisis, the tourism sector, agriculture and education, and social issues such as elderly care. We affirm that the Kla Tham Party will perform its duty as the opposition to the fullest extent, without holding back.
