Kla Tham Party Unveils Parliamentary Candidates Amidst Enthusiastic Support

Bangkok: Kla Tham Party unveiled its parliamentary candidates amidst a lively gathering at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center.

According to Thai News Agency, the event, titled “Kla Tham: Doing More Than Talking,” marked the launch of candidates for constituency and party-list MPs, alongside the introduction of the party’s prime minister candidate.

The morning session commenced at 10:00 AM with a training session on election laws and precautions for the 2026 Thai general election. At 1:40 PM, Ms. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education and leader of the Kla Tham Party, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the party’s readiness and resilience. She introduced the candidates, highlighting the party’s unique character and commitment to political engagement.

Captain Thamanat Promphao, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and chairman of the party’s advisory board, presented the party’s policies, underscoring a departure from unrealistic promises and a focus on pragmatic solutions. The event saw participation from former MPs and party leaders from various political backgrounds, including Chalermchai Sri-on from the Democrat Party and others from Pheu Thai Party.

Ms. Narumon elaborated on the party’s history, mentioning its previous incarnation as “Thai Economy” and its evolution to Kla Tham Party. She reiterated the party’s comprehensive presence across all provinces and its commitment to effective representation. Captain Thamanat was positioned as the sole candidate for Prime Minister, praised for his courage and dedication to addressing public issues.

The unveiling event concluded with a symbolic gesture of solidarity as Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on presented flowers to Captain Thamanat, expressing mutual support with the words, “Let’s fight together.”
