Bangkok: The biography of Professor Dr. Chalerm Harnpanich, titled "THE BILLION JOURNEY," was launched during the 54th National Book Week at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The book, authored by "Pui Rungtiwa" or Lieutenant Rungtiwa Kongsanun, details the journey of Professor Harnpanich from his humble beginnings to becoming a pivotal figure in Thailand's medical industry, specifically through the establishment of the BCH hospital network.
According to Thai News Agency, the launch event also featured a session titled "Sign and The Story: THE BILLION JOURNEY," where Professor Harnpanich engaged with readers, signed copies, and shared insights into his life and career. The event was attended by family, friends, and notable personalities, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somporn Hanpanich, Pete-Kantaporn Hanpanich, Gamboom-Preeyada Sitthachai, and Dr. Tee-Sathit Pitutecha.
The book highlights the evolution of Professor Harnpanich's career, starting from his early life in the suburbs, through his medical education, to establishing a private hospital network. It narrates the incremental progress from the founding of Somporn Clinic to the development of 15 hospitals and a cancer center, with plans for further expansion. The biography emphasizes the importance of perseverance, discipline, and leadership, offering lessons from real-world challenges and opportunities.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Somporn praised Rungtiwa's storytelling and Professor Harnpanich's exemplary roles in both professional and personal capacities.
