Manchester United Considers Darren Fletcher as Interim Manager Until Season End

Manchester: Manchester United might let Fletcher manage the team until the end of the season. Following Manchester United's announcement of Ruben Amorim's dismissal as head coach on January 5th, there has been much speculation regarding the club's future, particularly concerning the new manager.

According to Thai News Agency, Paul Hurst, a journalist for Times Sport, reports that Manchester United have appointed Darren Fletcher, a former player and current head coach of the U18 team, as interim manager, at least for the Premier League game against Burnley on January 7th, and possibly until the FA Cup third round match against Brighton on January 11th. After that, an interim manager will be sought until the end of the season, with a permanent manager to be appointed afterwards.

David Ornstein, a journalist for "The Athletic," reports that Fletcher could potentially manage the team until the end of the season to give the club time to find a new manager.

Jason Burt, a journalist for the Telegraph, reports that Oliver Glasner, who has led Crystal Palace to good results recently, is the leading candidate for Manchester United's new permanent manager. Glasner's contract with Palace runs until the end of this season, and it has been confirmed that he will not be extending it.
