Nattapong Calls for Decisive Victory, Emphasizes Future Over Vote Buying

Lampang: Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, addressed residents in Lampang, urging them to prioritize the future over monetary incentives in the upcoming election. Despite previous electoral victories, the party has been unable to form a government. Nattapong emphasized the need for a decisive victory, asserting that the future holds more value than buying votes.

According to Thai News Agency, during a meeting with the public at Luean Cafe in Thung Ngam Subdistrict, Serm Ngam District, Nattapong, along with Ms. Tasanee Buranuporn and Dr. Bond Suriya, engaged with residents. Nattapong stressed that the People's Party has policies they are eager to implement, but without enough votes, their hands are tied. He highlighted that the People's Party is the only one openly refusing to support the Bhumjaithai Party's prime minister candidate, contrasting with other parties' openness to coalition formations.

In response to public concerns about the party's ability to secure a government, Nattapong expressed confidence, pointing to the increasing support since the Future Forward Party's inception. He urged residents to rally support and work together with those who remain undecided, emphasizing the importance of casting votes on both ballots to secure a government that truly represents the people.

Nattapong cautioned that without a landslide victory, the country might revert to the same governance structures, rife with corruption and inefficiency. He called for vigilance against electoral misconduct and urged citizens to prioritize long-term futures over short-term gains from vote buying. Addressing the party's stance on decentralization, he criticized the concentration of power within the Ministry of Interior and advocated for constitutional amendments to facilitate genuine decentralization.

A villager raised concerns about education policies, to which Nattapong responded by outlining plans to optimize resources and reduce teachers' workloads. He emphasized the importance of creating accessible educational platforms, drawing parallels with successful models like Singapore's, to prevent dropouts and provide lifelong learning opportunities.

Nattapong concluded by encouraging hope and belief in the collective power of the people, emphasizing that maintaining hope is crucial in driving change. He expressed unwavering faith in the potential for transformation, asserting his belief in the supreme power of the people over political judgments.
