Bangkok: "Natthapong" has initiated a caravan campaign across eight routes covering 77 provinces, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating poll results. He urges voters to cast two votes to facilitate change, highlighting that merely splitting the vote, as seen in 2023, would be inadequate.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, conveyed in a media interview that constituency seats require significantly fewer votes compared to party-list seats, with constituency seats needing approximately 30,000-40,000 votes, while party-list seats demand 300,000-400,000 votes. This disparity underscores the greater impact of constituency seats. Ruangpanyawut stressed that wholehearted support for both ballots is crucial for establishing a people's government, prompting the launch of the nationwide caravan to bolster support.
The People's Party leader acknowledged the favorable opinion polls but emphasized the necessity of vigilance until the polls close. "Every vote matters in every district," he remarked, underscoring the goal of securing as many parliamentary seats as possible to ensure governmental stability.
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, former Future Forward Party leader and campaign assistant for the People's Party, announced plans for the "Saltwater People's Party" caravan to campaign through 47 constituencies in the eastern region. The aim is to retain previous constituencies and gain new ones.
