According to Thai News Agency, the couple joined many others at gold shops during a surge in gold prices, which exceeded 80,000 baht. Soft rock singer Num Kala and his girlfriend, Ja-Oh Ngamphring, proudly displayed their purchase through photos posted on social media. The images showed the couple checking in at the gold shop and flaunting their new gold and necklace sets. Their post included a caption that read: "Gold rush! Saving up a little."

The couple's purchase was particularly striking amidst a flurry of activity in the gold market, as many sought to capitalize on the price increase. However, the subsequent drop in prices led to playful teasing from observers regarding their investment timing.
