Bangkok: 'New Opportunities' invades the city square, emphasizing their stance of "We have no 'ifs,' only 'action,' transforming crises into opportunities. On January 9, 2026, the New Opportunity Party held a large rally in the heart of Bangkok at the City Hall Plaza, bringing together its prime ministerial candidates and 33 Bangkok parliamentary candidates to showcase their vision for solving structural problems. The event was led by Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, the party leader and the number one prime ministerial candidate, along with two other prime ministerial candidates, Dr. Tosaporn Serirak and Mr. Prapas Chongsonguan, to declare their stance on turning crisis into opportunity and sustainably improving the quality of life for Bangkok residents.
According to Thai News Agency, the New Opportunity Party has presented a comprehensive development model for Bangkok, under the campaign "With Us, There Will Be No Darkness," promoting the tourism economy while prioritizing quality of life and the environment by increasing green spaces or small parks distributed throughout every community. This will provide Bangkok residents with access to clean air and recreational areas. "We may not be good at talking, but we focus on action. The New Opportunity Party's policies aren't empty promises, but about turning crises into opportunities, especially in the economic sphere, which must be inclusive, equitable, and fair," said Mr. Jatuporn.
The party is ready to drive the country forward through four main pillars, starting with building a welfare state system that is accessible to all citizens in a comprehensive, equitable, and fair manner. This will be coupled with a new economic reform, including a powerful policy of freezing debt for three years to allow citizens to recover financially. Emphasis will be placed on disaster management, requiring an accurate and clear early warning system, effective evacuation plans, and post-disaster recovery processes. Finally, social welfare will be upgraded to meet the needs of all groups of people.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Jatuporn reiterated his commitment to hard work through the slogan "We have no 'ifs,' only 'action.'" The New Opportunity Party then requested votes from Bangkok residents for both its candidate and the party, number 44, to be a crucial component in creating new opportunities for Thailand.
