According to Thai News Agency, although it may appear that Niagara Falls has stopped flowing and frozen, in reality, the waterfall is not completely frozen. Due to the enormous volume of water flowing continuously, what has happened is that the mist and spray have condensed into chunks of ice, clinging to the rocks, railings, and surrounding trees, creating a blanket of white ice sculptures. Furthermore, the extremely cold air has caused sheets of ice and ice bridges to form at the base of the falls, creating a spectacular sight that attracts many tourists.

The reason Niagara Falls froze was due to a polar vortex phenomenon that brought extremely cold air to the region. Yesterday, temperatures in the area dropped dramatically, with perceived temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius to -30 degrees Celsius at times. This is considered dangerous but also beautiful weather.
