Bangkok: Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former Prime Minister and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, stated she is currently unaware of any transfer of Thaksin Shinawatra from Bangkok Remand Prison to Klong Prem Prison. She mentioned the need to verify the information first.

According to Thai News Agency, at 5:23 PM, Ms. Paethongtarn returned from the Thai Party with her husband, Mr. Pitak Suksawat. Reporters inquired about the process following images that appeared to show Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister, being transferred. Mr. Thaksin is currently serving a 1-year prison sentence as determined by the Supreme Court. Ms. Paethongtarn responded that she was not yet aware of the details and would need to confirm them.

When further questioned about whether the transfer was related to a need for a physical examination, Ms. Paethongtarn reiterated her lack of knowledge on the matter, indicating she had just concluded a meeting. Meanwhile, members of the Red Shirts gathered to show their support, shouting cheers to encourage Ms. Paethongtarn.
