He vows to speak out for the sake of the truth!
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Col. Pakphum Phisamai, former deputy commander of the Investigation Division of Provincial Police Region 4 and former close subordinate of "Big Jok" Pol. Gen. Surachet Hakpal, former deputy commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, has come forward to clarify allegations of betrayal and backstabbing "Big Jok." Pol. Col. Pakphum stated that coming forward and providing evidence to the police was a very difficult decision, but it was due to several reasons. He noted that he saw his subordinates suffering because they were forced to take the blame, causing hardship to their families. He also mentioned attempts to distort the facts in the video he provided to the police, portraying him as the perpetrator, as well as videos from other cases. These were the main reasons he decided to come forward today.
Regarding the rumors that he provided information in exchange for being reinstated, Police Colonel Phakphum stated that he had never made any such demands anywhere. He had only fought through criminal and disciplinary cases to regain his position and filed various lawsuits. However, he added that those who engage in such behavior are easily identifiable.
Regarding the allegations that various subordinates have been assaulted, Police Colonel Phakphum stated that those who were victimized have likely already given their statements. He declined to disclose details, as witnesses in various cases are currently being harassed, which could be dangerous and jeopardize the cases. However, he affirmed that he witnessed some of the incidents firsthand, and that other witnesses also saw similar events, confirming that assaults did occur. He also emphasized that he did not betray his superiors, but stated that if speaking the truth would bring justice to others or free them from the suffering they have endured for 10 years, and even if it meant betraying them 10 more times, he would not hesitate.
