Parit Wacharasindhu Campaigns at Lat Krabang Morning Market to Promote People’s Party Policies

Bangkok: Parit Wacharasindhu, spokesperson for the People's Party, visited the Lat Krabang morning market to campaign for Chumpol Lakham, aiming to successfully plant the orange flag, which symbolizes the party, by promoting policies focused on strengthening SMEs and providing welfare for all ages.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Parit was accompanied by Mr. Wallop Treerukngam, a candidate for the party-list MP position, as they campaigned at the Nakhon Rom Klao Central Market for Mr. Chumphol Lakham. Chumphol is the People's Party's candidate for Bangkok Constituency 20 (Lat Krabang), number 7. The campaign received a positive response from vendors and shoppers, with many showing interest in the party's economic and welfare policies.

Mr. Chumphol emphasized his continuous work in the area since the 2023 election, particularly assisting vulnerable groups and implementing projects for patients, in line with the People's Party's policies. He promised to advance welfare policies if elected.

Parit outlined the People's Party's strategy to maintain existing constituencies while gaining new ones in Bangkok. The previous election saw the Move Forward Party winning 32 out of 33 constituencies, with Lat Krabang being their only loss by 4 votes. Chumphol was the candidate then, and they aim to regain public trust this time.

The People's Party has proposed several key policies, including pushing for the Bangkok Act to empower the elected Bangkok Governor with more tools and a two-level administration system. They plan to support SME growth by combining the Half-Price Scheme with a lottery receipt policy to incentivize purchases from small retailers. Additionally, they aim to address road safety through a new Road Act and establish a national accident data center.

Mr. Parit and the candidates also encouraged the public to participate in the upcoming election and referendum on February 8, 2026. They appealed for support in voting for the People's Party on both ballots to form a government that will strive for a fair and modern Thailand.
