Bangkok: The parliamentary food court was closed for one day after a ceiling collapsed. Vendors said water was dripping constantly.

According to Thai News Agency, the parliamentary cafeteria has posted a sign saying it will be closed for one day after a ceiling collapsed, believed to be caused by a water leak. The Secretary-General of Parliament revealed that the Department of Public Works has been contacted to investigate.

Following yesterday's ceiling collapse in the food court on floor B2 of the Parliament building, food and beverage vendors in the B2 food court are unable to sell food this morning. This is because officials from the Building and Grounds Management Office of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives have erected barricades at the entrance and closed the doors, preventing outsiders from entering. A sign has also been posted stating, "The food court will be temporarily closed for one day."

This has forced vendors to set up stalls outside the food court. Many people remain concerned, as it is a frequently used area. It is suspected that the problem is caused by water leakage and moisture, as water has been consistently dripping.

Mr. Siroj Paetpan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, briefly stated that he had inspected the food court area earlier this morning and had coordinated with the Department of Public Works and Town Planning of the Ministry of Interior to conduct a further inspection.

And if there are no problems, it can open for business.
