Pattani: Flooding in Pattani Province remains critical, with water levels continuing to rise, affecting over 200,000 people and causing one additional death. Meanwhile, in Satun Province, a large mass of water inundated Satun Municipality, leaving some homes unable to move their belongings in time and damaged by the floodwaters.
According to Thai News Agency, the flooding situation in Pattani Province remains critical. Water levels in the Sai Buri and Pattani Rivers continue to rise, overflowing into riverside homes and spreading widely. Heavy rain continued overnight into the morning, causing flooding in all 12 districts of Pattani Province, affecting more than 200,000 people and resulting in one more death, bringing the total to three. Meanwhile, water levels in Pattani Municipality are rising, with roads submerged under over 50 centimeters of water. Officials have blocked off roads, leading to numerous broken-down vehicles.
In Satun Province, the most severe situation is in Khuan Don, La-ngu, and Mueang districts, with another large flood expected. The water is flowing into Satun Municipality, a water catchment area, and has flooded the Satun Municipality Fresh Market. Twenty communities have already been affected, with some unable to move their belongings in time and suffering flood damage. The road leading into Satun City, at the junction with Khlong Khut Subdistrict Municipality, has been closed, making travel difficult.
