Bangkok: "Peeraphan" leads the Royal Thai Army's campaign team in Bang Kapi for the final stretch of the election. The National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) is focusing on Bang Kapi district. Minister Peerapan promotes a 50 billion baht fund to revive the economy, address informal debt, reduce energy costs, restore jobs for Thai citizens, and tighten controls on foreign labor.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Peerapan Salirathavipak, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, campaigned in Bang Kapi district, visiting Happy Land Market, Tawanna Market, and Bang Kapi Market to support Mr. Preechachai Pipatthanadul, the party's candidate for Bangkok Constituency 14, number 10. The campaign was lively, with many citizens and vendors greeting and encouraging him. They also voiced their concerns, mostly about rising living costs and debt burdens.
During a field visit, a citizen raised concerns about migrant workers in Thailand, stating that many migrant workers are taking jobs away from Thais. They also questioned the government's provision of free education for migrant workers. Mr. Peerapan stated that the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party has a clear policy on regulating migrant workers and affirmed that if elected to power, they will decisively address this issue.
Mr. Peerapan stated that the purpose of this visit was to listen to the problems of the people and reflect the party's policies, especially those related to the grassroots economy. These policies aim to help people at the grassroots level who are facing high living costs, insufficient income, and reliance on both formal and informal debt.
Mr. Peerapan also stated that the party has a policy to establish a People's Fund with an initial budget of 50 billion baht, derived from budget restructuring and unused funds. This fund would allow 1 million people to borrow 50,000 baht each, interest-free, with a 10-year repayment period. The aim is to help people pay off informal debt, provide working capital for their businesses, and increase liquidity and purchasing power in the economy. He believes that increased spending by the public will lead to a genuine recovery of the grassroots economy.
Mr. Peerapan also addressed energy policy, confirming a serious commitment to resolving energy price issues. The goal is to reduce fuel prices to 25 baht per liter, electricity costs to no more than 3.30 baht per unit, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices to approximately 360 baht per 15-kilogram cylinder.
Mr. Peerapan urged the public to exercise their right to vote on Sunday, February 8, 2026, asking them to vote for the pink ballot, number 1, representing the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, and the green ballot for the party's candidates in each constituency. He emphasized that it is time for Thai people to choose their own lives and asked for an opportunity for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party to return to work and solve the problems of the entire country once again.
