Bangkok: "Monporn" confirms that Pheu Thai has not yet allocated quotas for "legislative branch and ministerial positions."

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Monporn Charoensri, a Member of Parliament for Nakhon Phanom Constituency 2 with the Pheu Thai Party and a former Deputy Minister of Transport, clarified that the party has not yet discussed dividing quotas for legislative and ministerial positions. Monporn made these remarks upon her arrival at the Election Commission office to receive her certificate, where she expressed gratitude to the people of Nakhon Phanom for re-electing her and pledged to serve diligently.

Monporn emphasized that there have been no discussions on ministerial positions within the Pheu Thai Party to date. She stated that the party plans to hold discussions with MPs from each region this week to strategize their future work. She stressed that the allocation of ministerial positions has not been a topic of conversation so far.

Despite reports suggesting her possible appointment as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Monporn expressed surprise, noting that she is still in the registration process. She reiterated that no discussions about specific positions have taken place, either in the legislative branch or ministerial roles. As a seasoned MP and minister, Monporn assured her commitment to any role assigned by the party. Additionally, she denied any knowledge of her name appearing on a cabinet list and refrained from commenting on whether Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, the party's prime ministerial candidate, would accept the role of Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, suggesting that the question be directed to him personally.
