Pipat Ratchakitprakarn Launches Ambitious 2026 Election Campaign Targeting Southern Thailand

Bangkok: Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, the Southern Regional Commander of the Bhumjaithai Party, has officially kicked off his 2026 election campaign, with a strong focus on revitalizing Southern Thailand. The campaign was launched under the slogan "Give us a chance to reclaim what we lost over the past 30 years," as Pipat expressed his determination to overcome challenges and secure over 30 parliamentary seats in the region.

According to Thai News Agency, the campaign features a video titled "Pipat Can Stand Strong," which outlines the party's vision for the South under the concept of "Give Me a Chance to Reclaim the 30 Years Lost." Pipat is spearheading the campaign across all 14 provinces, aiming to restore the South as a central hub for the country's economic growth. Over the past three decades, Pipat highlighted, the South has suffered from missed development opportunities, leading to issues such as migration, lack of opportunities for children, and unresolved structural problems.

Pipat is calling for unity among southerners to reclaim their region's lost time and dignity. The campaign will be communicated through a series of 8 interconnected videos, collectively titled "Pipat Yaddai," which will present the party's southern policy across three pillars and seven key areas. The first pillar focuses on foundational development, emphasizing improvements in infrastructure, tourism, trade, agriculture, fisheries, and industrial job creation.

The second pillar, "Public Pride, Inclusive," prioritizes education, vocational skills, technology, and AI to enhance quality of life and opportunities for youth and professionals. The third pillar, "Stable and Comprehensive Southern Thailand," aims to promote a multicultural society with fairness and sustainable peace in the southern border provinces.

Pipat emphasized that if the Bhumjaithai Party leads the government, these policies will be implemented nationally to ensure that the South becomes a significant contributor to Thailand's development. He expressed confidence that the strong public response to the campaign indicates that the party is well-positioned to achieve its target of winning more than 30 seats in the South, thereby driving substantial change in the 2026 election.
