Bangkok: Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, a prominent figure in the Bhumjaithai Party, has made a final appeal to voters in southern Thailand, emphasizing that all party policies are within reach and not merely empty promises. He called on the electorate to focus on choosing a future that promises professional economic management and the reclamation of opportunities lost over the past three decades.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pipat released a video urging southern voters to support the Bhumjaithai Party in the concluding phase of the election campaign. He challenged them with the question, "What will people in the South gain by voting for Bhumjaithai?" He stressed the importance of selecting a party that prioritizes the future of the South, rather than adhering to fleeting trends. Pipat warned that electing the wrong party could perpetuate longstanding issues in the region. Conversely, he assured that a vote for Bhumjaithai would bring a leader adept at economic management, security, and decisive problem-solving. Pipat highlighted that the party would deliver tangible results, improve livelihoods, elevate living standards, and transform the South into a globally recognized economic hub.
Pipat further elaborated on the party's commitment to opposing divisive forces and protecting Thailand's sovereignty, including its nation, religion, and monarchy. He pledged that Bhumjaithai would foster a society that Southerners could take pride in, offering education, regional development, and inclusive care under the Southern Stability policy. He vowed to reclaim 30 years of missed opportunities for the South and ensure that the new generation enjoys a better life than those before them.
Mr. Pipat encouraged Southern Thais to vote for the Bhumjaithai Party on February 8th, both for the candidates and the party, to facilitate the formation of a government led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. He underscored the importance of policies aimed at regional development and infrastructure enhancement, which would elevate the southern economy to match other regions. He concluded by urging voters to "Choose the prosperous South, vote number 37."
