Bangkok: Platinum Fruit Public Company Limited has announced a strategic shift to address the ongoing issue of agricultural commodity surplus by expanding its operations into a comprehensive import-export process. The company has rebranded itself as Platinum Prime Rise Public Company Limited (PPR) as part of this initiative.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattakrit Eiamsakul, CEO of PPR, highlighted that the company plans to broaden its product range to include oranges, mangoes, bananas, and more, along with frozen and processed fruits and vegetables. This move aims to enhance the company's service offerings across the entire value chain of premium agricultural products. By doing so, PPR seeks to increase its market reach to regions like Europe and the United States, overcoming the limitations of exporting only fresh produce with short shelf lives to nearby markets. The inclusion of frozen and processed products will also help mitigate the problem of market oversupply. Initially, PPR will partner with OEMs to launch select product lines.
Additionally, PPR is expanding its logistics services to support other agricultural importers and exporters. This expansion leverages the capabilities of its subsidiary, which offers tractor-trailer services for container transportation and documentation support. Beyond peak export seasons, the subsidiary's capacity will be available to other businesses, including those in the frozen and processed goods sectors, providing year-round logistical support.
