Muang thong thani: Police opened fire in a condo in Muang Thong Thani to apprehend a methamphetamine dealer. A tense chase ensued in a Muang Thong condominium as investigators pursued and exchanged gunfire to apprehend a drug dealer. He was eventually cornered, and over 1,500 methamphetamine pills were seized.

According to Thai News Agency, residents of a condominium in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, recorded a tense incident involving a chase after a car and the sound of over 20 gunshots. It was later learned that this was a police operation by the Pak Kret Police Station's investigative team to apprehend a drug trafficking network near Popular Road, Building C6, Muang Thong Thani. The suspects were cornered because they were unable to drive further. A search of the silver sedan with Bangkok license plates revealed Mr. Rattakarn, or "Bang Yad," 33, his 31-year-old girlfriend, and their two sons, aged 1 and 11, inside the vehicle, along with 1,539 methamphetamine pills found inside the car and those thrown away along the way.

The suspect was then taken to Pak Kret Police Station for questioning and a urine drug test. He was charged with jointly selling narcotics (methamphetamine), possession, and sale. The suspect stated that he fled because he was worried about his young children and felt shocked, having never experienced anything like it before, and didn't expect the situation to escalate. However, authorities contacted the suspect's sister to take custody of his two nephews.

After the incident, reporters went to the scene and met Ms. Ann, an eyewitness, who stated that while she was eating at a restaurant across from the scene, she saw one man running past while two others chased after a car, firing shots at the tires before the car sped away. However, the suspects were apprehended after authorities blocked the entrance and exit. She said she was shocked by the incident, as there were many people eating at the restaurant, including children. Fortunately, no one was hit by stray bullets.

The Superintendent of Pak Kret Police Station provided information that, following a report from the investigative team of Pak Kret Police Station regarding a drug bust, the suspect attempted to flee during the arrest, discarding the drugs along the way and attempting to ram the officers with their vehicle. Therefore, it was necessary to fire shots to stop the vehicle, and the suspect was immediately apprehended along with the seized methamphetamine. The officers had previously arrested the suspect's older brother, leading to further investigation and the locating of the suspect's vehicle. Following this, the investigative team has been instructed to submit a report detailing the use of firearms.
