Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul laid a wreath at the first royal monument to King Phutthayodfa Chulalok, marking King Phutthayodfa Chulalok Day and the anniversary of the Chakri Dynasty in 2026. The ceremony took place at 4:00 PM at the Phra Phutthayodfa Bridge, where the Prime Minister paid homage to the revered king.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at the site and conducted a wreath-laying ceremony. He paid respects by laying two floral wreaths at the monument dedicated to King Phutthayodfa Chulalok, representing "the Prime Minister and the Cabinet." This gesture concluded the ceremonial proceedings, which were attended by several dignitaries.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Suchart Chomklin, who headed the 6th shift of attendees, also participated in the ceremony. His presence underscored the significance of the event, as it commemorated both the historical legacy of King Phutthayodfa Chulalok and the enduring heritage of the Chakri Dynasty.
