Bangkok: The Prime Minister has announced his commitment to providing full assistance in the case concerning the tragic death of a Thai chef in Cambodia. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of resolving conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia through negotiation frameworks, emphasizing that disputes serve no beneficial purpose.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the incident involving the passing of a Thai chef from Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, who reportedly was denied treatment by a local hospital in Cambodia. The Prime Minister expressed his concern over the situation and stressed the need for a structured negotiation approach to address such issues effectively. He mentioned the necessity of establishing a clear framework for negotiations involving the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), General Border Committee (GBC), and Regional Border Committee (RBC), along with a well-defined implementation plan.
Mr. Anutin further elaborated that the assistance would be provided within the legal framework and assured that the support would be extended to the fullest extent possible. He indicated that adherence to the negotiation processes would lead to a resolution, while deviations from the framework could complicate the situation.
