Songkhla: The Prime Minister presided over the royal cremation ceremony of the director of Patong Prathankiriwat School before leading a meeting to deliver policy guidelines on security in the South. Thamanat was absent from the delegation, with the Prime Minister simply stating, "I've talked to Kla Tham."

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the royal cremation ceremony of Mrs. Sasipatchara Sinsamorn, director of Patong Prathankiriwat School, at Wat Yong Thong, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province. She was a victim of a violent incident where a deranged man took schoolchildren hostage. Also in attendance were Deputy Prime Minister Bowornsak Uwanno, Minister of Public Health Pattanapat Prompat, and Army Chief of Staff General Chaiyapruk Duangprapat.

However, recent reports indicate that Captain Thamanat Phromphao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, did not travel with Ms. Narumon Pinyosinvat, Minister of Education, who was originally scheduled to travel with him. Ms. Narumon separated from the Prime Minister and departed approximately half an hour earlier.

Then, at 4:30 PM, the Prime Minister and his delegation will travel to the 42nd Military District Command, Sena Narong Camp, Kho Hong Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, to chair a security meeting and receive a summary of the overall situation in the area following the conclusion of the elections. This follows his previous instructions emphasizing the importance of intelligence gathering on potential incidents in the past. Additionally, the governors of Satun, Narathiwat, Yala, and Pattani provinces will report on the security situation and the progress of efforts to combat drug trafficking in their respective areas. Following this, the Prime Minister will deliver policy directives on security matters.
