Bangkok: The Prime Minister has reiterated his directive to accelerate flood relief efforts, emphasizing the necessity for updated information from the Center for Emergency Situation Administration (CEA). Tomorrow, he will be visiting Hat Yai District in Songkhla Province to assess the situation firsthand.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul made a brief visit to the Flood Emergency Operations Center (FOCOC) located between Thai Khu Fah Building and Phakdi Bodin Building. During this visit, he announced his intention to travel to Hat Yai to expedite assistance efforts and ensure the distribution of compensation, a matter he has already discussed with the Budget Bureau.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of communication with the public regarding relief measures. He instructed the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) team to conduct two daily press conferences to provide clear and up-to-date information, reducing the need for external news sources. This step aims to ensure that the public receives the most accurate and timely updates on the ongoing flood situation.
