Prime Minister Visits Chong Chom Border Checkpoint to Encourage Soldiers

Surin: The Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul and his delegation, visited the Chong Chom border checkpoint in Surin Province to offer encouragement and support to soldiers stationed there. During the visit, the Prime Minister presented medals and amulets of Luang Pu Mun to the soldiers for their protection and safety.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister's visit began at the Phu Luang operational base in Kab Choeng District, where he was warmly received by Lieutenant General Veerayut Rakasilp, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, and General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Deputy Minister of Defence. The Commander presented a gift basket to the Prime Minister, extending New Year's greetings and gratitude for his visit.

The Prime Minister proceeded to greet the troops with words of encouragement, promising them safety and protection. Before entering a meeting to receive a briefing on the current operations, the Prime Minister shared a meal of rice with coconut milk curry with military leaders, including the Commander of the 2nd Army Region and the Commander of the Suranaree Task Force.

During interactions with the soldiers, the Prime Minister showed them an amulet, the Garuda coin of "Somdej Chao Khun Thongchai or Somdej Phra Maharatchamongkol Muni" of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, which he distributed to all frontline soldiers. He also displayed his own amulet, identical to those given to the troops, emphasizing its protective qualities.

The Prime Minister's visit included an encounter with soldiers who had inscribed incantations on their helmets. He introduced them to the "Golden Peacock Incantation" of Luang Pu Mun, which he personally recites and keeps on his mobile phone screen. He demonstrated the incantation by writing it on a soldier's hat, sharing it as a universal protection.
