Prime Minister Visits Hat Yai to Address Flooding Crisis

Hat yai: The Prime Minister flew to Hat Yai to monitor the flood situation again, offering encouragement and providing relief bags to flood victims in Songkhla.

According to Thai News Agency, at 3:00 PM, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by his wife Thananon Niramis, Minister of Public Health Pattana Promphat, Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Industry Thanakorn Wangboonkhong, and Deputy Minister of Interior Sakda Wichiensilp, departed from Don Mueang Military Airport 2, Wing 6, for Hat Yai International Airport in Songkhla Province. The visit aimed to assist flood victims in the area and followed a previous visit to Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, where the Prime Minister met with relevant agencies to assess the situation.

The delegation’s initial visit was to the temporary shelter at Thesaban 4 School (Wat Khlong Rian), where they extended support to disaster victims. Subsequently, they moved to the Hat Yai Municipality Command Center. Here, they engaged with the public and motivated the staff operating the Royal Kitchen, which is responsible for distributing prepared meals and relief bags.

Concluding the visit, the Prime Minister proceeded to Hat Yai Municipality to meet with more disaster victims before planning to return to Bangkok.
