Bangkok: Ratchawinit Bangkaew School clinched their first-ever victory in the Muang Thai Madam Cup 7-a-side youth football championship. The competition marked its fourth edition for the 2025/26 season, concluding at Pat Stadium with a thrilling final match.
According to Thai News Agency, the final pitted Ratchawinit Bangkaew School against Nakhon Pathom Municipal Sports School. The match was attended by notable figures such as "Madam Pang" Nualphan Lamsam, CEO of Muang Thai Insurance Public Company Limited and President of the Football Association of Thailand, alongside Anthony Hudson, the head coach of the Thai national team.
The tightly contested match unfolded with Nakhon Pathom taking an early lead in the 10th minute through Pipat Nanthapanya's goal. In the second half, Ratchawinit Bangkaew equalized at 1-1 when Patcharapol Saengwor successfully converted a penalty in the 37th minute. With the score tied at the end of regulation time, the match proceeded to a penalty shootout.
Ratchawinit Bangkaew emerged victorious, defeating Nakhon Pathom Municipal Sports School 3-2 on penalties. This win secured their inaugural title in the Muang Thai Madam Cup and included a trophy from Madam Pang along with a 300,000 baht cash prize.
The tournament also recognized individual talent, with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award going to Sutthipoj Promsila of Nakhon Pathom Municipal Sports School. His exceptional performance earned him a professional contract with Port FC and an opportunity to train in Japan with Avispa Fukuoka for two weeks at no cost.
