Royal Thai Air Force Conducts Airstrikes on Cambodian Military Targets

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force initiated a series of airstrikes targeting weapon depots and military bases across Cambodia. The operation saw the deployment of Gripen and F-16 fighter jets since early morning as tensions persist along the Thai-Cambodian border, particularly in the provinces of Sisaket, Surin, and Sa Kaeo.

According to Thai News Agency, the situation in the region remains tense, with artillery fire audible for kilometers. Throughout the night, F-16s conducted bombing operations. At 7:30, these jets launched an airstrike on the military zone of Pong Ro-Kong Wa in Sirisophon District, Banteay Meanchey Province.

Later, at 8:25 AM, a joint air attack was carried out by Gripen and F-16 fighter jets on Cambodian troops' weapon depots and operational bases on Phnom Dong Rak hill in Along Veng district, Udon Meanchey province. This operation was directed towards the Chong Sangam border crossing in Phusing district, Sisaket province.

At 8:42 AM, a second airstrike was conducted by F-16 fighter jets targeting an arms depot in the Phong Ro-Kong Va military area, Sirisophon District, Banteay Meanchey Province. Video footage from the ground captured smoke rising from the explosion.
