Secretary-General of the Election Commission Oversees Uttaradit SAO Elections

Uttaradit: The Secretary-General of the Election Commission, Saeng Boonmee, conducted an inspection of the voting process during the Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) elections in Uttaradit.

According to Thai News Agency, the inspection was carried out in Uttaradit, recognized as a model community and democratic city, where the elections were conducted smoothly without any complaints or objections, and witnessed a high voter turnout.

During his visit, Mr. Saeng Boonmee encouraged the election officials at Huai Ha Temple polling station, unit 2, electoral district 6, Village 7, Ban Dan Nakh Kham Subdistrict, Mueang District. He was welcomed by Mr. Chalongrit Srisungnoen, Director of the Uttaradit Provincial Election Commission, and other relevant personnel. They discussed the cooperative efforts of various sectors, including village headmen, community leaders, local administration officials, and police, which contributed to the democratic model of the community.

The high voter turnout in Uttaradit reflects the community's commitment to participating in the democratic process. Despite the competitive nature of elections, the community resumes collaborative efforts post-election, enhancing its management and supporting the province's agricultural tourism sector.

Mr. Saeng expressed gratitude to the officials for their dedication, emphasizing the importance of honesty, transparency, and fairness. He encouraged citizens to vote and elect capable individuals to further community development, and reminded them of the upcoming parliamentary elections on February 8, 2026.

The Secretary-General and his team also visited the Nam Phi Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Thong Saen Khan District to review preparations for vote counting and election results reporting. This subdistrict is praised for its unity and cooperation across all sectors, with minimal complaints and high voter participation.
