Sedan Flips Over on Phu Thap Boek Slope, Injures Four

Bangkok: "A sedan lost power while climbing a steep slope at Phu Thap Boek, flipped over, and fell down the hillside. A car unfamiliar with the road attempted to climb the steep Phu Thap Boek mountain pass to reach a resort, but lost power, flipped over several times, and fell down the side of the mountain. Four people were injured.

According to Thai News Agency, a dashcam captured the moment a black sedan with Bangkok license plates flipped over and fell down a steep hillside. The Sawang Mongkol Sathan Thammasathan rescue unit in Phetchabun was notified of a car accident on a hillside near the entrance to a resort on Phu Thap Boek, along Highway 2331 (Cho Ho - Phu Thap Boek), and immediately rushed to the scene to provide assistance.

At the scene, a hillside leading up to a resort, a black Toyota Yaris sedan with Bangkok license plates was found overturned, wheels pointing skyward. Four people were injured inside the vehicle. Emergency personnel rushed to provide assistance and first aid before transporting them to Somdej Phra Yuparat Lom Kao Hospital.

Upon questioning, the driver stated that he was driving his sedan up to a resort when the road was quite steep and he was unfamiliar with it. When he reached the middle of the hill, the car lost power, causing it to roll backward and flip over several times before falling down the hill.
