Bangkok: The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has resumed normal train service on the southern route between Maruebo and Tanyongmas stations. This follows urgent repairs to railway tracks that were damaged by an explosion.

According to Thai News Agency, the SRT has reported that the affected section of the railway at kilometer 1090/6-7 has been successfully repaired. SRT officials, in coordination with security forces and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, conducted a thorough inspection of the area to ensure safety. Following confirmation of safety, repairs were carried out, restoring the railway structure for normal operations as of 6:30 PM.

The SRT emphasized the importance of ensuring safety measures before resuming services, with a focus on the safety of passengers, staff, and the public. The SRT has apologized for any inconvenience caused and expressed gratitude for the understanding and cooperation of passengers.
