Bangkok: Supamas Isarabhakdi and Ekanat Promphan have taken the lead in Bangkok's parliamentary race, representing the Bhumjaithai Party across all 33 districts with their team prominently displaying the "Plus" symbol. This symbol is aimed at clearly identifying their roles and representing a beacon of hope for the citizens of Bangkok.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Suphamas, who serves as the Treasurer of the Bhumjaithai Party and head of the Bangkok team, alongside Mr. Ekanat, the party's election officer for Bangkok, led the parliamentary candidates to register for the election at the Sports Complex 2. Mr. Ekanat expressed confidence in their chosen candidates, highlighting their commitment not only to policies but also to their implementation. He mentioned ongoing initiatives like the "Half-Price Plus" scheme and efforts to resolve border issues. The party has clearly outlined who will assume the role of Deputy Prime Minister and their specific responsibilities, marking a notable moment in their history. Mr. Ekanat conveyed that the citizens of Bangkok should no longer bear the country's burdens alone, emphasizing hope as a crucial element of their term, with projects akin to "opening a tunnel" to transform hope into reality. After the candidate numbers were drawn, he planned to pay respects at a sacred site before launching the con stituency campaigns.
Ms. Suphamas revealed that a target number of parliamentary seats in Bangkok has been set, though she refrained from disclosing it at this time. She requested time for candidates to campaign and present their policies to the public, promising a thorough assessment thereafter. She urged the public to recognize that the Bhumjaithai Party is a collective entity, not centered around any single individual. She reiterated that the party has already declared the management team for post-election governance and encouraged supporters to vote for Bhumjaithai. Emphasizing teamwork over individualism, she stated that their focus during campaigns is on winning and performing at their best, rather than competing against others.
