Surat Thani Sprinter Secures Fourth Consecutive Gold in 100-Meter Race

Surat thani: A sprinter from Surat Thani won the gold medal in the 100-meter race for the fourth time at the "Ta Pi Games". At the 8th National Senior Games, "Tapi Games 69," in athletics at the Surat Thani Provincial Stadium, in the women's 100-meter final for the 35-39 age group, Mali Rachasuwan, a sprinter from the host province of Surat Thani and a former provincial runner, sprinted to the finish line first with a time of 13.42 seconds, winning the gold medal for the fourth consecutive time. The silver medal went to Danita Momkratok from Bangkok with a time of 13.56 seconds, and the bronze medal to Sirinapa Waree from Chanthaburi with a time of 14.10 seconds. According to Thai News Agency, after winning the gold medal, 39-year-old Mali said she was delighted to win her fourth gold medal from four competitions, as she had barely practiced this year. She suffers from a thyroid condition, gets tired easily, and has to take medication constantly, but running keeps her body strong. She encouraged everyone to exercise for better health. In the women's 100-meter race, age group 70-74, Mrs. Somsongsa Boonnak from Nong Bua Lamphu crossed the finish line first with a time of 16.37 seconds, winning the gold medal. The silver medal went to Sangwan Chanthasarn from Khon Kaen with a time of 17.89 seconds, and the bronze medal to Thongsuk Phimsarn, also from Khon Kaen, with a time of 18.29 seconds. In the women's 70-74 age group 200m freestyle final at Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus, Ms. Pataporn Kongtermsin from Samut Sakhon lived up to her reputation as the defending champion, touching the wall first with a time of 1 minute 57.32 seconds, successfully retaining her title. The silver medal went to Phopchalaporn Kanjanapang from Bangkok with a time of 2 minutes 06.85 seconds, and the bronze medal to Chuentha Wichawut from Prachinburi with a time of 2 minutes 11.98 seconds.
