Bangkok: Thailand's "Thai Sang Thai" party gathered at Siam Square, led by three prime ministerial candidates, to present a policy initiative aimed at supporting citizens from conception to old age. This initiative, titled "Caring for Thai people from conception to old age," seeks to alleviate life's burdens and ensure happiness and security for all Thai citizens.
According to Thai News Agency, the trio of prime ministerial candidates Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, Mr. Phokin Pholkul, and Lt. Gen. Paradorn Pattanathabutr, along with the celebrity known as "Jinny," detailed the party's comprehensive care package. This package promises financial support for children from conception to age six, provision of free education up to the bachelor's degree level, and access to low-interest loans for young professionals entering the workforce. Additionally, the policy includes a monthly pension for the elderly and an Up Skill program to promote their health and continued engagement in the workforce.
Lt. Gen. Paradorn highlighted four urgent policy priorities for the Thai Sang Thai Party: resolving the Thai-Cambodian border situation, combating scams and corruption, and addressing inequality. He urged citizens to exercise their right to vote and support the party as a stand against corrupt practices in politics.
Khunying Sudarat addressed the challenge of competing against larger, wealthier parties, emphasizing the Thai Sang Thai Party's commitment to clean politics and its track record of success. She urged voters to consider the party's experience and dedication to serving the people, stressing that the party's small size does not diminish its big ambitions and potential to govern effectively.
In discussions about potential post-election partnerships, Khunying Sudarat refrained from committing to specific alliances, emphasizing the importance of sincerity and honesty in political collaborations. She cautioned against parties making premature declarations about partnerships, suggesting that such decisions should be made post-election based on the parties' actions and integrity.
