Thai Stocks Edge Lower Amid Lack of Catalysts

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed the morning session down 1.62 points. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) closed this morning at 1,273.20 points, down 1.62 points (-0.13%), with a trading value of approximately 21.56 billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, analysts report that the Thai stock market experienced a subdued trading session this morning, lacking new catalysts. The focus is on AOT shares, which saw strong volume driven by positive factors including a PSC fee hike and the conclusion of negotiations with King Power. Regarding the expected outcome of the Fed-Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, the market has largely absorbed the news.

The afternoon market is expected to fluctuate similarly to the morning session leading up to the long holiday, with the market awaiting the Fed’s decision next week. Support is at 1,270 points and resistance at 1,285 points.
