Bangkok: Thammanat Phromphao, the chief advisor of the Kla Tham Party, has publicly denied any involvement in the controversy surrounding a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with a Singaporean company. During an interview held at the Kla Tham Party headquarters, Thammanat deflected questions related to the MOU, suggesting that it was a matter for Prasert Chantharawongthong to address.
According to Thai News Agency, the controversy emerged from a document featuring a statement by Prasert Chantharawongthong, the secretary-general of the Pheu Thai Party and former Minister of Digital Economy and Society. The statement, submitted to the Department of Special Investigation, alleged that Captain Thammanat had recommended the Singaporean company for the MOU with the DE Ministry. Thammanat, however, dismissed the implications of the statement, urging reporters to direct their inquiries to Prasert, asserting, "What does that have to do with anything? Mr. Prasert has already explained everything. Go listen to Mr. Prasert. Don't speak on his behalf."
Throughout the press conference, Thammanat maintained a composed demeanor, smiling and laughing while responding to media questions, showing no signs of stress over the issue.
