Thammanat Issues Stern Warning to Political Parties Over “Dhammakaya” Tactics

Bangkok: "Thammanat" has issued a cautionary note to political parties involved in the "Dhammakaya" game, warning them of potential backlash that could lead to regret. He emphasized that while his party, Kla Tham, will not initiate attacks, any party that plays hardball should be prepared for retaliation, as vulnerabilities exist in every party.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, the chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, announced plans for the party to conduct 17 major campaign rallies across various regions of the country. These rallies will be organized by province in line with the administrative divisions specified by the Ministry of Interior. Notable locations include Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Bangkok, where Ms. Paveena Hongsakul will lead the efforts. Air Force Colonel Anudith Nakornthap is tasked with overseeing the Northeast region.

Captain Thamanat clarified that Kla Tham Party will not introduce any new policies in the final stages before the election. He highlighted the importance of focusing on tangible policies related to agriculture, water management, social welfare, and tourism, avoiding promises that cannot be fulfilled.

Addressing the Nida Poll results from Songkhla province, which excluded the Kla Tham Party, Captain Thamanat expressed skepticism towards poll results and confidence in his own strategy for the area. He reported positive feedback from his visits to Songkhla, despite not having returned since the Hat Yai floods.

In the case of Mr. Kunakorn Mannateerai, a Kla Tham Party candidate allegedly threatened by Prachacha Party members, Captain Thamanat assured that the matter is now in the judicial process and urged restraint among party members to maintain a positive political atmosphere.

Captain Thamanat concluded by stating the party's readiness to defend itself if provoked, yet stressed his tolerance and preference for focusing on constructive political engagement. He reiterated the importance of not starting conflicts, but warned that any aggressive actions from other parties would be met with a strategic response.
