Thammanat Phromphao Vows to Eradicate Scammers If Kla Tham Party Forms Government

Bangkok: Captain Thamanat Phromphao, the chief advisor to the Kla Tham Party and its prime ministerial candidate, has made a bold declaration on the Nation News Analysis program, stating that his party will eliminate scammers entirely if it comes to power. He emphasized that no political party is completely free from "grey area" connections.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thamanat addressed the issue of political parties refusing to collaborate with the Kla Tham Party due to these perceived connections. He suggested that such parties might end up in opposition, as the political environment has not yet reached the election phase, making premature discussions about government formation irrelevant.

Captain Thamanat outlined the Kla Tham Party's stance, affirming they are open to cooperation with any party, irrespective of affiliations, as long as they do not propose amendments to Chapters 1 and 2 of the Constitution. He made it clear that if any party in government suggests such amendments, the Kla Tham Party will not support them.

Addressing criticisms and being labeled as a "target," Captain Thamanat expressed that he is accustomed to such situations. He emphasized that the support from his campaign areas, including welcoming receptions and gestures of goodwill from the public, shows that people judge him based on his work rather than political attacks.

Captain Thamanat questioned the use of the term "gray," asserting that no political party is entirely clean. He stated that if in government, the Kla Tham Party would take decisive action against scammers, call centers, and those deceiving the public, without delay or political maneuvering.

On gambling and illegal activities, Captain Thamanat insisted that any such matters should go through the judicial process without discrimination. He reflected on his personal experiences, asserting his willingness to face the truth and focus on the present and future.

Regarding the Kla Tham Party's reputation as a "swing party," Captain Thamanat mentioned that discussions about forming a government have not taken place during the election period. He emphasized waiting for election results to see the actual number of seats won by major parties. He denied allegations of political treachery, highlighting his commitment to not betraying superiors or engaging in gossip.

Addressing photos with individuals linked to a scammer case, Captain Thamanat clarified that social interactions like taking photos are normal and do not imply involvement in illicit activities. He challenged anyone to present factual evidence of such links.

Finally, Captain Thamanat revealed the party's readiness with 109 top-tier candidates, aiming for approximately 70 parliamentary seats. He expressed confidence in the Kla Tham Party's potential to become the third-largest party, significantly influencing the political landscape across regions.
