Thanadol Withdraws from Involvement in Ben Smith Case

Bangkok: Thanadol announced his withdrawal from the Ben Smith case after being appointed as a political official in the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, emphasizing his desire for transparency and freedom from accusations.

According to Thai News Agency, Thanadon Suwannarit posted a message on his personal page announcing the end of his role as legal advisor and withdrawal from the legal proceedings against Ben Smith, effective immediately, after being nominated for a political official position at the Office of the Prime Minister.

Mr. Thanadol stated that this decision was made with respect for his new role and to prevent any future accusations or misunderstandings. He confirmed that his past legal advice was provided with integrity and strict adherence to professional legal principles.

“Given the criticism and doubts, I believe it’s important to take responsibility and provide clear clarification to ensure the utmost transparency. My legal team and I are officially withdrawing from Mr. Ben Smith’s case and will not be involved in any further proceedings to avoid public controversy.”

Mr. Thanadol also expressed his gratitude to all parties for their continued respect and understanding of his work. He emphasized that he will perform his new position with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to the benefit of the nation.
