Thawiphip Accepts Mission to Restore Trust and Serve Bangkok Noi and Bang Phlat

Bangkok: "Thawiphip" has accepted the mission to restore trust and serve the people of Bangkok Noi and Bang Phlat. Mr. Thaweepipop Limjitrakorn, a former MP of the People's Party, announced his decision to run for office again through a post on his personal Facebook page. This decision comes in light of the arrest of Mr. Boonrit Raorungroj, the incumbent candidate, on charges of money laundering.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Limjitrakorn expressed his shock and concern over Mr. Raorungroj's arrest, acknowledging the severe impact it has on the party's reputation. He emphasized the importance of public trust for the survival and future of the People's Party. Having previously served as a Member of Parliament for seven years, Mr. Limjitrakorn highlighted trust as the party's most valuable asset, crucial for its growth and success.

The urgency of the situation is underscored by the impending deadline for registering parliamentary candidates, with only 48 hours remaining. Mr. Limjitrakorn underscored the challenge of finding a trustworthy candidate who aligns with the party's values in such a short time frame. Failure to do so would mean that the people of the Bang Phlat-Bangkok Noi district would not have a People's Party candidate to choose from in the upcoming election on Sunday, February 8th.

In response to this crisis, Mr. Limjitrakorn has volunteered to return to politics as a candidate for the People's Party. Despite having announced his retirement, he feels compelled to step back into the political arena to ensure the party has a trustworthy candidate. He reassured the public of his commitment to serve the people of Bangkok with honesty and integrity, drawing on his previous seven years of experience as their representative.

The People's Party is set to broadcast a live primary vote for their Bangkok Constituency 33 candidate at the Future Forward Party building, to replace the previous candidate, before 4:00 PM.
