Sisaket: In the final stretch of the Sisaket by-election, Bhumjaithai Party (B.T.) member Eve Jintawan Traisaranakul is knocking on doors, promoting policies on the livelihood and border, and slamming rival parties for two years of ineffectiveness, citing concerns about an audio clip from “Uncle”. Ms. Jintawan Traisaranakul, or Eve, candidate number 2 for Constituency 5 for the Bhumjaithai Party, commented on the final stretch of the election campaign in Khun Han and Phusing districts in Sisaket Province. She stated that she has been continuously visiting the area, going door-to-door, meeting and talking with villagers face-to-face, listening to their real concerns, and declaring her stance on not opening border checkpoints to truly protect the interests of border residents.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jintawan added that this application is not just about nominating a candidate, but also about proposing policies and readiness from both herself and the Bhumjaithai Party. As the core of the government, they are ready to fulfill every role, whether in the majority or minority. The most important thing is to be the voice of the people of Sisaket, District 5, in addressing the issues of low crop prices, high fertilizer prices, and providing relief for impacts on the border. Ms. Jintawan emphasized that relying solely on the Pheu Thai Party has not resolved economic challenges and has exacerbated confidence issues related to the Thai-Cambodian conflict. She urged the people of Sisaket to vote for Bhumjaithai Party number 2 to change the political direction towards a more stable and secure future.
Ms. Jintawan stated that through her ongoing field visits, locals have expressed their concerns over the past two years, as they have witnessed the failure of the Pheu Thai Party-led government to address economic issues. The economy has been in recession, with agricultural prices plummeting, with cassava sometimes costing less than 1 baht per kilogram, and rice prices at a 17-year low. Border issues remain without a clear solution, and the “Uncle” audio clip continues to fuel conflict and fighting, leading to loss of life and property, and concerns of war that continue to this day.
