Bangkok, The national police chief has ordered the Metropolitan Police Bureau to investigate the origin of advertisements offering passports and other nationalities, and has instructed them to inspect and screen foreigners. If any wrongdoing is found, legal action will be taken in all dimensions. Pol. Lt. Gen. Sirawat Deepo, deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, revealed that in the case of a Chinese advertisement about passport services and citizenship applications according to the laws of various countries at Huai Khwang Intersection, which was published on online media and caused a lot of criticism, Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukwimol, the national police chief, has ordered the Metropolitan Police Bureau to urgently investigate the case to find out the origin of the advertisement, who owns it, and what laws have been violated, as well as track down the perpetrators to be prosecuted in accordance with the law in all dimensions as soon as possible. The latest investigation found that the said signs have been r emoved, and the Immigration Bureau (IB) has been instructed to screen foreigners entering and staying in the Kingdom of Thailand to comply with immigration laws, support and be consistent, and create a balance between tourism and security. The Royal Thai Police would like to warn that entry into the country must have legal criteria, conditions or documents, and must comply with immigration laws, which have criminal penalties.
